Prayers in Salah
Allahumma Salli Dua
Pronunciation
Innaka Hamidun Majid.
Meaning
“O Allah, send Your blessings upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad, just as You sent Your blessings upon Ibrahim (Abraham) and the family of Ibrahim. Indeed, You are Praiseworthy and Glorious.”
When is it read?
Allahumma Salli is recited during the final sitting (Tashahhud) of Salah, after At-Tahiyyat and before Allahumma Barik. In the Hanafi tradition, it is also recited during the first sitting of the four-rak'ah Sunnah prayers before Asr and Isha. It may also be recited outside Salah as a way of sending blessings upon Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) and his family.
