Prayers in Salah
Allahumma Barik Dua
Pronunciation
Innaka Hamidun Majid.
Meaning
“O Allah, bless Muhammad and the family of Muhammad, just as You blessed Ibrahim (Abraham) and the family of Ibrahim. Indeed, You are Praiseworthy and Glorious.”
When is it read?
Allahumma Barik is recited during the final sitting (Tashahhud) of Salah, after At-Tahiyyat and Allahumma Salli. In the Hanafi tradition, it is also recited during the first sitting of the four-rak'ah Sunnah prayers before Asr and Isha. It can also be recited outside Salah to ask Allah to bestow blessings upon Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) and his family.
